She received her PhD in Economics from Oxford University after graduating from a master's program at Toulouse School of Economics. Before that, she got a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Pompeu Fabra University.
Her research interests are the economics of incentives and the economics of information. Over the years, Marta has received various research grants, including from the Bank of Spain, the British Council for Economic and Social Research (ESRC) and the Russian Science Foundation. She has also carried out policy work for organizations such as the OECD, the Inter-American Development Bank and the UK Competition Commission.
