Classes on weekday evenings and on Saturdays, a mix of online/offline formats.

Basic format:
2 years, part-time.

FLEX format:
3-4 years, part-time.

EXPRESS format:
1 year, full-time.

Specialists with at least 2 years of work experience, aiming for a successful career in the financial sector.

Competitive selection:
June 2024. Pre-term admission in March and May.

Signing up for individual courses and express certification programs is possible during the whole year.



The MiF program (416 in-class hours) is structured taking into account the possibility of choosing an individual track. Each student can follow the optimal pace of learning, and choose a combination of online / offline formats and a set of courses, which allows them to comfortably combine classes with work, as well as to focus on the areas of personal interest. During the year, students can apply for individual courses (duration from 14 in-class hours) and express certification programs (series of several individual courses with duration from 84 in-class hours):

The Mini-MiF online program (168 in-class hours) is the first fully distant NES program that provides a unique opportunity to take courses that form the basis of modern finance at any convenient location. Learn more about Mini-MiF. 


Thanks to the cooperation agreement with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), students can combine studying at the MITx MicroMasters in Finance, MITx MicroMasters in Statistics and Data Science online programs and studying at the NES Masters in Finance program, receiving a MITx certificate and a NES diploma upon graduation. Classes are given by unique lecturers: NES professors and visiting lecturers with a PhD degree from the best international universities (including MIT, Stanford, New York University, University of Pennsylvania, Columbia University, Northwestern University, LBS), as well as leading professionals from the financial sector and senior corporate managers. The enrollment process for the MiF and Mini-MiF programs includes four stages. For more information about the admission and how to prepare for the entrance exams, see the admission section

  • Acceptance of documentsfrom January 1, 2024 to June 22, 2024: online questionnaire, motivation letter, video essay, photo, CV and other documents.
  • Math exam (June 29, 2024). Besides the general math exam, you can also apply for the program in advance by submitting the results of the international GRE (Quantitative reasoning) and GMAT (Quantitative reasoning) tests, GRE Subject Test in Mathematics or the results of the NES Olympiad in math (March 23 and May 18, 2024).
  • English language exam(June 29, 2024). Besides the general exam in English, you can also apply for the program in advance by submitting the results of the international tests TOEFL IBT, IELTS, CAE, CPE, BEC H or the results of the NES Olympiad in English (March 23 and May 18, 2024).
  • Interview


Application for express certification programs and individual courses is possible throughout the year on the basis of provided documents (online questionnaire, motivation letter, CV, diploma of higher education, photo) and an interview; you can submit your application to [email protected].

Special admission terms apply to graduates of the NES programs Bachelor of Arts in Economics (BAE) and Master of Arts in Economics (MAE): a track for BAE graduates and a track for MAE graduates.



The tuition fee at the Masters in Finance program in 2024 is 1.380 mln rubles for the entire program. The fee can be paid in equal parts either for every year or every module. The tuition fee at the Mini-MiF online program in 2024 is 210,000 rubles. 

A number of grants and financial support programs covering up to 80% of the tuition fee are available. For more information, see the tuition fees section.

The program provides knowledge and practical skills necessary for a successful career in banks, hedge funds, consulting companies and other organizations in the financial sector.
