Calendar for the 2018-2019 academic year

Fall 2018:

• August 28^th-29^th  –  English placement tests and Math test for 1^st year students
• August 30^th – freshmen orientation
• September 1^st – classes start
• September 1^st – 4^th –  Life Safety course for 1^st-year students, some classes may be cancelled
• September 14^th – add/drop period for elective courses ends
• October 22^nd through October  28^th  – consultation week; no classes
• November 5^th – long weekend - National holiday, no classes
• December 20^th - 31^st – finals week at HSE[1]
• December 31^st – semester ends

Spring 2019:

• January 9^th – classes start
• January 23^rd - add/drop  period for elective courses ends
• February 25^th – long weekend - National holiday, no classes
• March 8^th  – National holiday, no classes
• March 25^th – March 31^st – consultation week; no classes
• May 1^st – 10^th – Spring Break
• May 15^th   – finals week at HSE
• May 24^th – end of finals period for courses with 4^th year students
• June 7^th – semester ends
