Biography

He received his PhD in Economics from the University of Gothenburg, master’s degree in Economics from the University of Edinburgh and bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Milano-Bicocca. He worked as a researcher at IIES (Stockholm University), LSE and Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

His research focuses on Development Economics and Political Economy with focus on political & economic institutions; corruption; ethnic diversity; migration; cultural traits. His works have been published in academic journals like the Journal of Public Economics, the Journal of Development Economics and the European Economic Review. Among non-academic activities, he contributed to the NES handbook of papers "Economic policies in the pandemic times" with a chapter on internal migration and the spread of Covid-19.
