The New Economics School has been the leader in economic education and research in Russia for many years. Today NES includes eight educational programs and five research centers. NES professors have PhD degrees in economics and finance and publish their research in the world's most recognized academic journals.

As of 2020, NES ranks first among Russian universities by the number of publications in leading international journals of economics and finance, according to theTilburg University Ranking and holds the first place among Russian universities by the number of citations per one scientific publication, according to QS Rankings.

According to the Changellenge survey, 100% of NES students are satisfied with the quality of education provided at the School.

NES graduates are highly valued both in the private sector and in academia and have a significant impact on the development of the Russian economy. Every year, the contribution of graduates to the development and strengthening of the School's position increases: they contribute to the financial stability of the School (90% of individuals who contributed to the NES Endowment Foundation are graduates of the School) and are part of the NES management.
